RACKETBALL in Britain
(
Dreamed up and developed by IAN WRIGHT,with our help).
He could have called it ‘WRIGHTS’. Why not?.
You started playing ‘Racketball’ because it was easy to learn and comfortable to play.
After playing for a while you (some) find it has become too easy. The blue ball.
So would like a bit more of a challenge.
Human nature, subconsciously\consciously competitive, required balls to satisfy this need.
PRICE developed and produce a ball in black for this improving player.
Some players get extra keen and found that even that became too easy
and asked for balls to make a game even more competitive.
Price developed another ball, in black ,to do this.
To distinguish between the two balls
we christened them
Single Dot©
and
Double Dot.©
Of course
Ian’s Wright’s original idea was to modify the US Racquet game
so it could be played on squash courts by the squash player, who wanted to continue playing,
BUT were beginning to find themselves slipping down squash ranking, ‘ recovery’ time etc getting longer.
The Price family have been developing balls for 87 years and the only producer of balls in the UK.
Others try to copy and make in cheap labour countries but they cannot match our 87 years of ball making experience.
